MSL Picture of the Day:T+62 Days: Shining object next to rover

A shiny object on the ground in front of Curiosity has stopped the scooping process for now. First the team wants to ascertain what the object is.

Curiosity’s shiny object looks like a screw to me. My kids tell me they should have used the irremovable blue screws of Sony’s Playstation 3. That would have stayed put no matter what.

The question is ofcourse: Has some engineer somewhere gone in hiding right now?
No AAA available to repair this vehicle; besides you have to stand next to your vehicle with your membership card to get service anyway.

Look at he images and judge what we see here for yourselves.
