Julia Brodsky is an accomplished STEM educator with a background in astrophysics, human spaceflight, international education, K-12 instruction, curriculum development, STEM outreach, and teacher training. She is a certified NASA astronaut trainer and an astrobiology lecturer at the University of Maryland. Julia is a STEM Education Lead at Blue Marble Space Institute of Science (BMSIS), where she mentors undergraduate students in astrobiology education and leads programs for BMSIS participants on best STEM education practices.
Julia is the Founder and Executive Director of Earthlings Hub - a 501 c(3) educational initiative at BMSIS dedicated to serving thousands of refugee children in Ukraine. She is also the Founder and Lead Instructor of Art of Inquiry, LLC - an innovative online program in space science, AI, and cognitive sciences for middle-school students around the globe, including disadvantaged student populations. As a contributing writer for Forbes Education, Julia interviews prominent thinkers in science and education.
Julia is a dedicated mom of three, including a young adult with an intellectual disability, and a long-time disability rights advocate.
