Morgan Gendel is a screenwriter, producer, lecturer and futurist with more than 250 credits on series including Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space 9; The 100; Law & Order, and The Dresden Files. He is best known as writer of “THE INNER LIGHT,” the heartbreaking Star Trek: TNG episode that earned him the esteemed Hugo Award for Science Fiction Writing. The Hollywood Reporter called the episode “Trek’s most beloved story.” Morgan currently is developing his original series Isolation, which looks at climate change through the lens of a near-future Earth reeling from the geo-engineering efforts of an alien civilization that covets our planet. Morgan has taught or consulted in Berlin, Cologne, Moscow, and Los Angeles and is currently an Adjunct Instructor at Old Dominion University, Virginia, where he teaches Writing for Television and TV Production.
