Rosie is a space artist, space communicator and S.T.E.A.M. advocate. She is designer and creator of Planet Exophilia, a brand of space art and fashion designed for the cosmic alien in all of us. She graduated with a BFA in Digital Art from the Southwest University of Visual Arts in 2012. She got her start in the space community in 2015 as a science communicator and astronomer, hosting nightly star parties at Tucson’s Sky Bar, the only solar powered astronomy bar in the universe! Throughout the 6 years at Sky Bar she hosted countless events attended by hundreds of people in the community and was even featured on Buzzfeed for her STEAM outreach program. She was also recently awarded the Space Frontier Foundation Advocate award for her advocacy in the community.

Since then, she has played multiple roles in the space community as a space communicator and media manager. In 2020 she joined the Explore Mars Inc. team as Social Media Manager. Rosie is passionate about advocating for those under-represented in the space community and hopes to inspire gender minorities and marginalized groups to pursue careers in S.T.E.A.M.
