The 2020 Humans to Mars Report Now Available

The Humans to Mars Report (H2MR) provides an annual ‘snapshot’ of progress and updates relating to mission architecture design, science, public perception, domestic and international space policy, human factors, and STEM education related to Mars exploration.

“Support for the human exploration of the Moon and Mars is extremely strong among policymakers (both Republicans and Democrats) and the general public,” stated Explore Mars CEO, Chris Carberry. “H2MR is a vital resource that keeps decision makers informed and helps guide their decisions so as to ensure that humanity will return to the Moon in the 2020s and then walk on Mars in the 2030s.”

H2MR is compiled each year based on an analysis of current events as well as input from leading topical experts from the space community.

“What’s exciting for me to see in this year’s report is how much progress is being made across the science and engineering fields to prepare us for human missions to Mars,” said Joe Cassady, Executive Vice President of Explore Mars. “This is what comes from maintaining a constancy of purpose and having support from our stakeholders.”
