George Sarkodie is a first-generation college graduate from Dallas, Texas. As a student, he always wondered how to model a functioning, extraterrestrial human brain. This influenced him to attend the University of North Texas (UNT) known for its materials sciences program and NASA funded research projects. During his senior year, Sarkodie joined Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-USA), which is the largest student-run, STEAM organization in the world. SEDS-USA, under Sarkodie’s leadership, invested in diversifying the students and young professionals within the space industry not just through ethnicity; but gender and major. Sarkodie has facilitated the creation of a national podcast to provide a platform for established industry professionals to directly communicate with the upcoming space generation. Sarkodie leads efforts on the development of the Artemis Student Ambassadors Program to ensure university students as the voice for the Artemis Generation.
